Launching private events

Publish an invite-only or request-to-join event, and invite affiliates.

Private events follow the same shape as a regular event, with two differences: an access type, and control over which event details are visible to users who aren't invited yet.

Start a new event

Turn on Private event and choose an access type

Only invite (private) - the event won't appear in the public feed, search, or maps. Only invited users can see and join it.
Open to public (request only) - the event appears in the public feed and search, but users must request access and be approved by the host.

Configure event details

Add the name, description, date, time, and venue.

Invite affiliates and configure tickets

Invite affiliates directly from Mandos, and set ticket details.

Set the T&C and FAQs

Add the terms & conditions and FAQs.

Optionally set a promo code

Attach a promo code if you're running one.

Preview before publishing

Check how the event will look before it goes live.

Publish

Depending on the access type you chose, non-invited users will need to request to join - see Accepting private event requests.

For a private event, you also control per-field visibility (location, date, organizer, and more) to non-invited users - each field can be shown or hidden independently.
